In Pakistan time, it was known as Habib Bank Limited. It has started its journey in 1972 in Bangladesh as a Commercial Bank. The authorized capital of the Bank is Tk 8 billion. The Bank has been privatized on 15, Nov 2007.The bank now performs its commercial banking operation through 873 channels all over Bangladesh. The bank has total 910 branches whole over the Bangladesh and 1148 ATM booth.

The Bank has owned two Subsidiary companies; they are named Agrani Exchange House (Pvt.) Ltd in Singapore and Agrani Remittance House SDN, BHD, in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia.
