Jahurul Islam Medical College was established in 1992. In short, it is known as JIMC. It is at Bajitpur in Kishoregonj District. It is one of the top rankings medical colleges in Bangladesh.

Every year after the HSCresults are published the college offers students including 25% of international students are admitted into first-year MBBS classes. A session usually commences in January each year. Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 8.00 combined in SSC and HSC (separately minimum 3.5 in each) Examination or equivalent and have GPA=3.00 in Biology. A break from the study of more than one year is not eligible for application.
