Noakhali Science and Technology University NSTU Bangladesh

Noakhali Science and Technology University (নোয়াখালী বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) was established in that year 2003 on October 11th but the academic programs actively started there from 2006. Form Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia laid the foundation. Nick name is NSTU. It is situate at Sonapur in Noakhali District. Presently the world ranking is 9143. The varsity is totally financed by Bangladesh government. . It has been marked as the 27th public university out of the 32 and fifth science and technology universities in Bangladesh. The varsity is also known as Coastal University.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

Every year, it publishes its admission notice for UG programs. They are about to take an admission test to finalize the admission that is usually taken as per units. There are A, B, C and D units respectively considering the academic faculty. Student should good result in HSC in science background.

Hostel and Accommodation for students

The construction of the varsity is not yet finished. Presently the campus consists of one administrative building, two academic buildings, three male student halls, two female student hostels and one teachers and officers dormitory. Altogether there are 5 halls that offer residential accommodation and non-residential attachments for the students as well. Each of the halls is managed by a single provost and superintendent as admin.

Scholarship and Awards

NSTU bestows scholarships to its meritorious students. The poor but meritorious students are also bestowed awards. Five students in each batch of every department are offered with the scholarship. Different government and semi government organizations also provide scholarships regularly. Students can follow the official website of the university to keep a tab on the latest scholarship updates.

Foreign students: Students coming from the SAARC countries have to pay comparatively less than the Non- SAARC country students. Besides, they also have to fulfill the criteria demanded from the national students by the University for Getting admitted for the UG programs.
