Barishal Diploma Polytechnic Institute College Bangladesh

Barishal Polytechnic Institute is one of the best polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh situated in the south region of Bangladesh. The polytechnic institute is a public technical institution situated in Barishal. The institute is one of the largest polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. It was established in the year 1962 with the view of creating skilled engineers in Bangladesh. Currently it is providing engineering degree in eight departments. The major departments include Mechanical engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Electro Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, and Civil engineering etc. The institute is aimed at providing diploma level education for the engineering students in various technological areas.

Facilities Available for the Students:

The library of polytechnic institute holds various books in the field of physics, chemistry, bio-chemistry and applied science. The library also contains books on electronics, computer, power, mechanical and civil science etc. There are also a lot of international journals in the library. This will help the students to keep updated with the recent innovations. There are also research work facilities for both the students and the teachers.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility:

The students with minimum GPA 3.50 in SSC or equivalent can apply for admission. The applicants must have minimum GPA 3.00 in general math or higher math. The age limit for the applicants is 22.

The candidates have to pay admission fee of TK.200 through Teletalk prepaid mobile SMS. The students have to send SMS to 16222. Then the students have to log in the website of Technical Education Board and properly fill up the electronic application form.

The candidates from Bangladesh Open University have to send the application to the admission office along with duly attested mark-sheet and two recent colourful photos.

The students with quotas have to apply according to appendix 5.4 given in the admission form. Otherwise, they will not be considered for quota.

For participating in the written test the candidates must bring original registration card of SSC or equivalent examination and the admit card of the admission test.
