Community Based Medical College Mymensingh

The Community Based Medical College Hospital Mymensingh is a reputed medical college in Bangladesh established to impart quality education to the MBBS students. It was established in the year 1995 as part of the Community Health Foundation. The foundation was established by Dr. Mafakharul Islam. The main objective behind establishing a medical college under the foundation was to contribute to the nation’s efforts in improving health and medical science. The medical college provides 5 years MBBS degree to create efficient doctors in Bangladesh. It is affiliated with the faculty of medicine of the University of Dhaka. It follows curriculum approved by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). The MBBS course also includes a one year obligatory internship in the attached hospital determined by the college authority. The academic year of the institute is usually July to June. The Health Ministry, World Health Organization and government of Bangladesh has approved the inclusion of the college in the World Directory of Medical Institution. It is one of the presumed private medical schools in Bangladesh.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility:

The candidates who choose to get admission in the college and passed in the examination conducted by the DHSB are allowed to get admitted according to their merit position. For MBBS admission, the candidates in the merit list have to collect an admission form of TK 1000fr admission office. The documents that must be submitted with the properly filled admission form are as follows: The candidates must submit all of their original certificates and mark-sheets of both SSC and HSC along with one set of attested photocopies of each. Original and attested photocopy of Testimonial has to be submitted. The Testimonial has to be collected from the head of the institute last attended. The candidates have to submit photocopy of National ID card and three copies of most recent passport size color photos. Underprivileged students won’t have to pay Development fees and concession will be given on tuition fees upon submission of relevant supporting papers. Five percent of the students will get this benefit.
