About Dhaka National Medical College

The Dhaka National Medical College one of the old health services organization in old Dhaka. It started its journey from 1925 when Non-Cooperation Movement of the Indian Sub-continent against the British Colonial Rule.  The First Governing Body of the Institute was formed under the chairmanship of a renowned scientist Sir Prafulla Chandra Roy. In 1994 – 95, the First Batch of Medical Student got admitted in the College. This year in 2014 - 2015, the 21st batch of a medical student will be admitted to the College. Now the college has emerged as one of the best medical colleges in Bangladesh.The College is Dhaka University affiliates the college. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) has also recognized the college.

Admission prospectus and Eligibility

Every academic year, after HSC result publishes, the college offers admission for 1st year MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course. It is five years of study and one year internee. The College follows the curriculum approved by the Dhaka University and Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. A student can download MBBS admission from and other information from their official website.
