The U.S. Department of State has issued registration instructions for the annual Diversity Visa (DV) lottery. The entry submission period for the 2018 lottery opens 12 noon eastern daylight time (EDT) on 4, October 2016. It will close 1200 hours EDT on 7, November 2016. DV Lottery Entry Instructions
Please read the DV-2018 Entry Instructions carefully. Entrants may be disqualified for not completing the entry form correctly or by submitting more than one entry. Use the link below to view the instructions. There is no paper submission for the DV. The DOS (Department of State) will only accept one entry per person during this online application period. All are available on their state govt official website.

The entry form is prepared in two parts, one for the primary Entrant and one for derivatives (if any). Each section must be completed correctly and comprehensively before going to the next part. Ineligible countries
Those who born in any region that has sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the USA in the last five years are not eligible to receive a diversity visa.
For DV-2016-17-18, natives of the following nations are ineligible:
Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
