DV-2024 Entrants have until September 30, 2024, to check the status of their entry through this website. The DV-2024 registration period was from October 5, 2022, until November 8, 2022.
DV Lottery means diversity visa. It makes up to 50,000 immigrant visas available annually to get entry in the USA. Applicant has to apply online. The U.S. State Department administers this program.
Applicants should submit all the data electronically during the registration time. The authority will not accept the paper entry. Candidates should register themselves before the last week of the registration period. Heavy demand may result in website delays. It had started in the fiscal year 1995.
The U.S. Department of State has issued registration instructions for the annual Diversity Visa (DV) lottery. The entry submission period for the 2018 lottery opens 12 noon Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on 4, October 2016. It will close at 1200 hours EDT on 7, November 2016. All information is available on their official website.

Please read the DV-2018 Entry Instructions carefully. Entrants may be disqualified for not completing the entry form correctly or by submitting more than one entry. Use the link below to view the instructions. There is no paper submission for the DV. The DOS (Department of State) will only accept one entry per person during this online application period. The entry form is prepared in two parts, one for the primary Entrant and one for derivatives (if any). Each section must be completed correctly and comprehensively before going to the next part. Those who were born in any region that has sent more than 50,000 immigrants to the USA in the last five years are not eligible to receive a diversity visa.
For DV-2016-17-18, natives of the following nations are ineligible:
Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
