About Jamuna Bridge
It is the world’s 11th longest bridge and 6th in South Asia. It is the biggest bridge in Bangladesh. Its length is about 5.63 kilometers. The width of the bridge is about 18.5 meters. The longest span is about 100 meters. The name of the bridge was changed to Bangabandhu Bridge. Bangabandhu is the father of the nation. It connects Bhuapur and the east bank of the Jamuna River, Sirajganj. It is a multipurpose bridge. The bridge contains both railroad and road for the buses, tracks, and cars. The bridge is very crucial in the context of Bangladesh. It has improved the lifestyle and business activities of the people in the region. World Bank and Asian Development Bank contributed to the construction of the bridge.

The bridge is 133 kilometers away from Shahjalal International Airport. It may take you 3 hours and 56 minutes to reach the site. From Gabtoli bus stand, the distance is142 kilometers. It will take 4 hours to reach the site. From Saidabad bus station, the distance is 149 km. You may need 4 hours and 30 minutes to reach the place.
