Subjects for O-Level Examination

In O-Level the students have the freedom to choose a course of study according to their will. The students choose subjects according to their goals and plans for future education. There are two subject lists available for the Bangladeshi students to choose from. They are the Cambridge Subject list and Edexcel IGCSE subject list. The choice of subject in terms of A-Level examination depends on availability in one’s country. There are more than 30 A-level subjects and three lists from which Bangladeshi students can choose their desired subjects. There are Cambridge Subject List, Edexcel GCE A-Level Subject List, and Edexcel IAL Subject List.

Exam System of Both A-Level and O-Level Education

The students complete A-Level in two years. The first half of A-Level is taught in the first year which is called AS-Level. The second half is called A2-Level which the students have to complete in the second year. The grade is calculated by combining the two grades of both years. On the other hand, O-Level takes two years to complete the courses. The assessment of a student is conducted based on written, and oral tests, practical exams, and coursework. In Bangladesh,  are British Council conducts and coordinates the exams for both O-Level and A-Level. `

British Council provides quick and easy access to the exam results of the students. It publishes results in online and also informs the candidates about their results through the phone call or SMS. The authority publishes Exam results after six weeks of the completion of the examination. For unexpected results in the exams, the students can claim for re-marking and also sit or improve examinations.
