The college established with a mission to improve the medical education system and prepare efficient health care personnel in Bangladesh.
Dhaka University affiliated the college and registered with Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). It is approved by Health and Family Planning Ministry of Bangladesh. It was established and inaugurated in the year 2005. The college has dedicated faculty who are determined to provide quality medical education and services to the people of Bangladesh within affordable cost. At present, the college is playing a vital role in developing the human resources in the health-care sector of Bangladesh. The aim of the college is to prepare skilled doctors with best professional knowledge and attitude.
Facilities Available for Students:
The college has a multistoried building with adequate rooms. It has a very rich library with a lot of books and online journal subscriptions. The students have the opportunity to practice practically what they learn as there is an attached 290-bed well-equipped hospital. There is hostel facility for both domestic and overseas students. It has a separate board that regulates the college progress and evaluates the performance of the students periodically.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The candidates who successfully pass the examination taken by DHSB are allowed to get admitted to the college based on their merit position. The college authority only chooses the students from merit list who had applied to get admitted in this college. Hence, only the eligible candidates get the opportunity for admission. All Medical College Admission take place every year under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Total Fees Required for Admission:
The finally selected Bangladeshi candidates have to pay TK.13, 90, 000 as entry fee and TK.1, 20,000 as Internee fee. So, in total a native student should pay TK. 15, 10, 000. The payment has to be made through Pay order or Demand draft. All the fees are non-refundable and must be paid at the time of admission. On the other hand, the overseas students have to pay $35,000 only at the date of entry.
Documents Required for Admission:
The candidates must submit all the original mark-sheets, certificates, testimonial, admit card of the entrance test and result from the sheet at the time of registration.
Two set of photocopies of the documents mentioned above has to be submitted with four copies of passport size photos.
The students having quotas have to contact the office and perform the admission procedure according to the rules of college and DHBS.
