About Adamjee Cantonment College

Adamjee Cantonment College was established in the year 1960 intending to expanding education in the country and also build up future leaders. The college was named after Gul Mohammed Adamjee, a renowned industrialist of the then Pakistan. The school was established according to the ideology and curriculum of the public schools of England.

The school gained a reputation as one of the best English schools in Bangladesh before the independence of Bangladesh. Till now the school is holding its reputation as a prestigious educational institution in Bangladesh. The school also offers graduation and the masters degree to the students. The mission of the educational institution is to promote Education, Discipline, and Morality.

Facilities

The school can provide education to 4510 students. It provides education in the field of Science, Business Studies, and Humanities. There are about 1870 students at the undergraduate level and 2390 students in the graduation and post graduation level. There is Graduation (Pass), Graduation (Hons), BBA, Masters Degrees available for the students. The College has five buildings. The buildings include an administrative building, library, masters building, science building and BBA building. There is a big auditorium with a conference room. It has a two-story library building which contains thousands of books and journals. There are laboratories for the science students with all kinds of chemicals and modern equipment.

Departments and Subjects

The department of the college for Graduation level include English, Politics, Accounting, Economics, and Management. The students of HSC level has to study the subjects determined by the Bangladesh Education Board.

Scholarship and Study Aids

The college offers the scholarship to the underprivileged students every year. The meritorious and financially challenged students can apply for the awards. Eligible candidates are provided accommodation, the medical facility for free.

Admission

The students from science, business and humanities can get admitted to this college if they have the qualifications or GPA mentioned in the admission circular. The graduate and postgraduate level students admit according to the rules and regulations of the National University of Bangladesh. The students can get admission in both 3 and four years Honours program.
