Bhola is district under Barisal division. The district an offshore island with an area of 3403.48 sq km. It is bounded by Lakshmipur and Barisal districts on the north, the Bay of Bengal on the south, Lakshmipur and Noakhali districts, Meghna (lower) river and Shahbazpur Channel on the east, Patuakhali district and Tentulia river on the west. postal code is 8300. It is very easy to go Bhola from Dhaka. From Sadar Ghat Launch terminal, there are many steamers. They directly go to Bhola. It is 8-10 hours journey. From Barishal, It takes three hours to reach there. There is no airport there. It is better to use river road then buses to reach Bhola.

There are many places where tourist can stay in Bhola. Circuit house and Zila Parishad is a good one. Hotel Zed Plaza at Sader Road is the famous hotel in Bhola. There is a 225 feet newly built Watch Tower at Charkkukrimukri. It is attracting both local and foreign tourists.
