Central Medical College Hospital is one of the leading private medical colleges in Bangladesh. It has established in the year 2005 with the objective to provide best medical education.
There are a good number of medical colleges in Bangladesh that offer MBBS degree to the students who want to build their career as doctors. The most of the medical colleges are affiliated with Health Ministry and one university. Before 1990 all the medical colleges were established by the government. At present, as the population of Bangladesh has grown dramatically the need for medical universities under private sector has increased. It has become difficult for the government owned and ran medical colleges and universities to prepare sufficient qualified doctors to serve a huge population. At present, a lot of medical colleges have been established under private sectors that are determined to provide the best quality education for the students. So far, the private medical colleges have been fortunate enough to develop the medical industry of Bangladesh further. With the objective of providing good quality education to the students Central Medical College, Comilla was established in 2005. It is approved by Health Ministry and affiliated under the University of Chittagong. The medical college has got membership of Bangladesh Private Medical College Association (BPMCA).
Admission Procedure and eligibility:
For Foreign Students: Along with local students the foreign students can also get admitted in Central Medical College, Comilla. The foreign students have to send attested photocopies of all certificates and marks-sheets and other necessary documents through the Embassy of Bangladesh.
For Domestic Students: The domestic students must finish 11/12 years of study in since background to be able to apply for MBBS admission. They are required to submit attested photocopies of SSC and HSC mark-sheet along with 3 passport size photos. The students will have to submit all the original certificates and mark-sheets at the time of admission and the documents will be retained by the admission office till the completion of the degree. The payments made during admission period are non-refundable except the caution money. If any student wants to leave the college after one month of the admission, he or she has to pay compensation according to the decision of board of directors.
