Gono University is a private university in Bangladesh. It is  at Mirzanagar, Savar in Dhaka. The nickname of the University is GU.

About Gono University

The university was established in the year July 14, 1998. At present, it has its campus in Nalam, Savar. The university got approval from University Grant Commission in the year 1998. The mission of the university is to create consciousness and commitment in the education. It aims at fostering human welfare and sustainable social development. Since establishment, the University has been playing a very crucial role in the development of the education sector of the country and promotion of equal opportunity for men and women.

Subjects and Departments

The faculties of the university include faculty of health and medical science, basic and social science, physical and mathematical science, and faculty of various post graduate studies. It has about 32 departments in the above-mentioned faculties. The degrees provided by the University include-B.Sc, BSS, BA, BBA, MBBS, BDS, MSC, and MA. The university has a group of skilled teachers who are committed to providing the best education to the students so that they can contribute to the development of the nation.

The university has a large library for the students with well arranged sitting service. It contains thousands of books, literature, journals, and magazines. Admission Procedure

• The candidates must have CGPA 2.25 in both SSC and HSC examination to be able to apply for admission.

• The students have to collect the admission form from the university campus paying a fee of Tk. 500.

• The application forms will be available at the Office of Registrar of the Gono University. The application form has to be submitted before the deadline.

• The students have to sit for a written test and the successful candidates in written examination will have to face a viva.
