Central Womens College is one of the pioneer girls colleges in Bangladesh. It is at Tikatuly in the Dhaka city. The nickname of the college is CWC.

About Central Womens College

It is a private girl’s college in Bangladesh established to fulfill the need of a girl’s college in the city. The college had set in the year 1956 to promoting the women education in Bangladesh and build an education nation. At first, the college was established in the Banglabazar Govt. Girls’ School but in 1966 the college was shifted to its building in Tikatuli, Dhaka.

Subjects and Departments

The college has to wings. One side is concerned with providing Higher Secondary Level Education, and the another one is concerned with providing graduation level education. For providing graduation level education, the college has established a university in the name of Central Women’s University. The subjects in the Honors Level include Bangla, English, Political Science, Accounting, Management, and Marketing.
For HSC level education the college follows the curriculum developed by the Bangladesh Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The majors include Science, Business, and Humanity.

Facilities Available for the Students

The college has a large library with many books, journals, and magazines. There is an excellent sitting arrangement for the students. It has a well-equipped computer lab and science lab for the students. It has launch facility for the students with quality foods, and hence the students do not have to go out of the college at lunch time for having food. The college has both indoor and outdoor games and sports facility for the students.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

The college admits young students every year for the Higher Secondary Education. It publishes a circular in the newspaper for admission of HSC level students. All the requirements are given in the admission circular.
For admitting the HSC level students, the college follows the rules and regulations determined by the Ministry of Education and Dhaka Education Board.
The college also enrolls students for Honors-Pass course (BA, BSS, BSA, BBS) and Honors (BBA, BA, BBS). For admission, the college follows the rules and regulations of National University.
