New Model Degree College is a non government educational institution is Bangladesh. The nickname of the college is NMDC.
About New Model Degree College
The college was established in the year 1969 by the enterprise of Noakhali Shamiti. The college was established in the Green road at the beginning. After the war of 1971, the college was replaced to Dhanmondi, Road-8 and house number 500. At that time it was a damaged house because of war and the house was allotted by the then government. Satisfied by the performance of the college in the public examinations in the year 1978, for the college, the government allotted a piece of land of one bigha at the opposite side of Dhanmondi road-32. At present, the college has a multi storied building.
Subjects and Department
The college provides both HSC and Graduation level education such as BA Honors, Masters, BBA and MBA. The college has Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Human Resource departments for the graduation level students. For the HSC level students there are all the majors including Humanity, Business Studies and Science.
Facilities for the Students
The college has a pool of highly qualified and skilled teachers who are dedicated to provide the best education to the students. The college also invites teachers from other reputed universities and experts from various institutions as guest lecturer. The college has a very big library with both degree and honors level books and journals. For the students of science background the college has a modern laboratory. The college has computer and internet facility in the campus. It provides very good learning environment to the students as it is free from politics and smoking.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The college admits both HSC and Graduation level students every year. For admitting HSC level students the college publishes circular in the daily newspapers. The admission form can be collected from the admission office from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. There will be a help desk in the college campus for the convenience of the students aspiring to get admitted.
For Graduation level students the college follows the regulations of National University. The students are admitted according to their result in the HSC and Honors level examinations.
