Notre Dame College is one the top colleges in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is at Arambag in Dhaka. The nickname of the college is NDC.
About Notre Dame College
The college established in the year 1949. The college established under private management. In the year 1949, the college started operation in the name of Saint Gregory College. The name Notre Dame was chosen in 1955. It is a boys’ college only. The college has also started to provide graduation level education. The students of this college are contributing significantly to the development of Bangladesh. Christian missionary runs the college, like Holy Cross College.
Subjects and Departments
The college offers both HSC and Degree level education to the students. The courses in HSC include Science, Humanity, and Business studies. The Degree pass course duration is three years. Highly qualified teachers conduct the classes.
Facilities Available for the Students
There is a big field in front of the college where the students can play outdoor games. The college has a great library with local and foreign books, magazines and journals. There are some foreign instructors for the students.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
The students must have GPA-5 for getting admission to the Science department. Those who want to get accepted in the Business Studies department must have minimum GPA-4.25 and the students desiring to get admitted in Humanities department must have GPA-3.25.
The students are short-listed if there is no admission test and the students with higher GPA are allowed for admission. If the college takes an admission test, the students with the higher mark in the admission test will get the opportunity to get admitted.
Required documents at the time of admission are as follows:
- Six copies of attested passport size photos
- The marks-sheets of both SSC and HSC (Attested)
- Testimonial gave by the School authority
- For degree pass course the students must have combined GPA- 7.00. The combined GPA has to be calculated by adding both the GPA of SSC and HSC.
