Chittagong Polytechnic College is a Technical Diploma  Institute  in Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest and renowned diploma colleges in Bangladesh.

About Chittagong Polytechnic College

It had established in the year 1962. The institute operates on 20 acres of land. It has three stored academic building. It is a government sponsor technical educational institution in Bangladesh. The institute is supervised and regulated by Board of Technical Education, Bangladesh. The vision of the institute is to increase the percentage of technical persons in Bangladesh as at present the percentage is very low.

Departments and Subjects

The institute offers Diploma engineering program which is a four-year extended curriculum. The degree is offered on various technologies. The departments of Chittagong Polytechnic Institute include Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Power, and Computer Technology. The courses are the combination of both theoretical and practical learning.

Facilities Available for the Students

It has both library and labs to facilitate the learning of the students. The library has thousands of books. All are related to technology and more and more books are added every year. The labs are modernized and filled with high-tech equipment and chemicals. There are five boys’ hostels and two women hostels. Teacher and staff quarter is also located within the campus. Hence, the communication gap between the teachers and students is very low.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

• The students with age below 22 can apply for admission test. The students must have GPA 3.00 in SSC or equivalent examination with GPA, not below 3.00 in general and higher mathematics. The eligible candidates have to apply online through the website of Technical Education Board. The students will have to print out the application after the fill-up and submit it along with all the necessary documents as said in section 5.4 in the form.
• The students have to pay TK 200 to 16222 through the Teletalk SMS service. The procedure of sending the fee is given in the admission circular by Directorate of Technical Education.
• The students must bring original registration card and admit card in the admission test day. Otherwise, they won’t be allowed to sit for the admission.
