About Patuakhali
Patuakhali (পটুয়াখালী) is a district under Barisal division in the South-western part of Bangladesh. A land composed of alluvial soil of the Meghna basin and some small char areas. The top inner beauty of tourist attractions in Patuakhali is Kuakata sea beach. The district is bounded by Barisal on the north, the Bay of Bengal on the south, Bhola on the east and Barguna on the west. Kuakata, the second largest tourist center of the country. Tourist can watch both the sunrise and sunset from here. Natural disasters like cyclones, floods, and tornadoes hit the district almost every year as it is the coastal area. Hot and attractive travel destinations for travelers are Buddhist Temple, Mog and Chakma tribal village for tourism. Patuakhali is in the southwest part of Bangladesh.

Transportation
Main communication with Dhaka is by launch. Launches are available from Sadarghat terminal. Most of the launch leave the terminal at evening. Barisal is the nearest airport. The bus also has a comfortable journey.
Accommodation
It is a small district town. Circuit house is the better place for night stay. There are many hotels near Puran Bazar, near launch Ghat.
