Birishiri (বিরিশিরি ) is a rural area at Durgapur Upazila in Netrokona district, Bangladesh. It is a place with natural beauty with hills, Simsang River, and red mud.

About Birishiri Netrokona

The site lies at the foot of Garo Hills. There is a beautiful river. The name of the river is Someshwari. First of all, you have to cross the river by boat or ferry. The fair will be around Tk. 55. Now there is a bridge on the river. You will see a hill of white china clay. You might want to climb that. The hill is also called- Cheena Matir Pahar. You may reach the hill through a rickshaw from the other side of the river. You will find people of the Banai and Garo Tribe. They are very congenial. Try to visit- Susang King, Dasash Busha temple, and Lokenath Baba temple. Autumn is the best time to visit the site.

How to Go

You will find many bus services from Dhaka. The buses are available from Gabtoli, Saidabad, and Mohakhali. You may get onto a bus from Mohakhali which will go to Brisiri. The ticket will cost around Tk. 250. It may take 8 hours to reach the site. There is no chance to get off at the wrong stoppage. It is the last stoppage for the buses. Present road communication is not good,
