BRAC University Admission Procedure and Eligibility in Bangladesh

BRAC University is one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh. It is at Bir Uttam AK Khandakar Road, Dhaka. The nickname of the University is BU.

About BRAC University Bangladesh

The university has established in the year 2001. Its liberal arts approach of providing education nurtures fresh ideas of students. The university’s aim is to provide high-quality education and prepare the students for the contemporary times. BRAC University is accredited by University Grant Commission and approved by the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh Government. Since the establishment of the university, the University has been playing a significant role in improving the quality of education in the private university. BRAC University has gained the tremendous reputation among the students in very short time.

Subjects and Departments

The departments of the university include- Architecture, Computer Science and Engineering, Economics and Social Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, English and Humanities, Mathematics and Natural Science, and Pharmacy. It provides both Honors and Masters Degree in the above-mentioned subjects. The university is also famous for its Bachelor of Business Administration or BBA degree. It also offers MBA degree to the students. The teachers of this university are well educated, skilled and dedicated toward the betterment of the students.

Facilities Available for the Students

BRAC University provides accommodation facility for the female students who come from long distance to the university. It has a Relationship Management Office that provides all the logistic supports to the residing students. It has a medical unit the serves the health needs of the students. The university has a very big library named Ayesha Abed Library with thousands of books and very peaceful learning environment. The students can also borrow books from this library. Besides these facilities, the university has indoor and outdoor gaming facility for the students.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

The candidates must have minimum GPA 3.5 in both HSC and SSC board certificate examinations. The combined CGPA of both the examinations must be 8.00.
For O-Level students,  BRAC University required minimum GPA 2.5 and the O-level students’ minimum GPA-6 for admission. Any subject with E grade will not be considered.
The students have to apply online for admission. The students may also collect admission form from the admission office.
The international candidates can apply for admission in BRAC University. They have to submit all of their previous academic records through their foreign ministry, and they must be verified by the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh.
The candidates have to sit for an admission test for being eligible for admission. Only the candidates in the merit list are allowed to get admitted.
