It had started its journey as a night college. Sir Yogesh Chandra Sinha was the first principal of the college. The college began its day shift on 1962. In the year 1978, it becomes full government college. It has 15 faculties and four departments. The college has 128 teachers and 70 staff.The college has 6 storage building. The college offers H.S.C., B.A./B.S.S. and B.B.A. programs under BOU. The college is famous for extra activities for BNCC, Ranger Guide, Rover Scout, and Red Crescent.
