Dhaka College is in the New Market area in Dhaka city. Like Dhaka city, it is also an old education institution in Bangladesh. It offers HSC, Degree Honors, and Master courses in different subjects. About Dhaka College

The college was established by Dr. James Taylor in 1835 as an English School, and it rose to college status in 1841. It is a government's own educational organization. It is affiliated with the national university. The college had moved from one place to another place in its journey. Now it is in the middle of the New Market and Science Laboratory road. It has a rich library. There are around 30,000 books in here. Hostel facilities are also here. There are seven residential halls for students. They are South Hall, North Hall, International Hall, West Hall, Elias Hall, Shaheed Farhad Hossain Hall, Southern Hall, and Sheikh Kamal Hall. There are more than 20 departments, or subjects here. Among them, there are modern History, English, Economics, Psychology, Philosophy, Zoology, Accounting, Bengali, Botany, and Chemistry. It has 04 buses to transport students.
