Hamdard University
The establishment of Hamdard University came into reality when the government of Bangladesh approved it on March 14, 2012. The architect of the University is Hakim Mohammad Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan. He is also the pioneer of modern Hamdard medicine. The mission of the educational institution is to provide quality value based education to the students. The university aims to provide education according to social needs and to create future creative leaders.
Admission
The candidates for BSc in Mathematics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science must have Physics and Mathematics in HSC or A level.
For MBA the applicants must have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any UGC approved and recognized university. For EMBA the students must have two years of working experience as an executive in any reputed organization.
The eligible candidates have to collect the application form for the university campus by paying Tk. 200. The students may also collect it from the website and then submit it with the required fee.
A completed application form has to be submitted with 3 passport size color photos, all the certificates, mark sheets of SSC and HSC, Testimonial and attested copy of National ID card.

Subjects and Departments
The University has four faculties. They are faculty of science, engineering and technology, faculty of business administration, faculty of arts and social science, and faculty of Unani and Ayurvedic medicine. There are two departments in the Business Faculty. They are Management and Marketing departments. The faculty of Arts and Science includes English and Social Science. Mathematics, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science constitute the Science Faculty.
Facilities
The university has many facilities for the students. It has a very big library with thousands of local in foreign books. The university has a group of diligent teachers and researchers who are have proven teaching and research excellence. It has multimedia classrooms with computer and projector. Besides these, all the classrooms are air-conditioned. It has well-equipped computer and science laboratory for the students. The University also has pharmacology laboratory, anatomy laboratory, and herbarium. It has an auditorium which can accommodate about 2000 people at a time.
