Dhaka International Folk Festival at Army Stadium

Dhaka International Folk Festival is going at Army Stadium. The event has started on 10 November. It will continue up to 12 November 2016. The festival will be held every day from 6pm to 12pm. The three-day event aims to introduce the rich heritage of Bangladeshi folk music to the world. This year, Seven countries with India, participate in this fest.  They are Turkey, France, Spain, UK,  and Canada.The host country is Bangladesh.

International Folk Festival

Performers are Momtaz Begum, Bari Siddiqui, Islam Uddin Kissakar, Abdur Rahman Baul, Baul Shafi Mondol, Fakir Tuntun Shah, Nooran Sisters, venuePaban Das Baul, Karen Lugo and Ricardo Moro and much more. This International Folk Festival is presented by Meril, in association with GP Music, powered by Dhaka Bank and with the support of Microsoft. Maasranga TV is the television partner, with The Westin Dhaka as a partner of hospitality and Square Hospital as a medical partner.

Registration is required to join the program. They have an official website. The music lover can apply there before the fest.

How to Go Army Stadium Dhaka

The place is near Banani, Dhaka. Buses are available from Farmgate and Uttara. After this festival, there is another festival, that is Bengal Classic Music Festival, it is organized by Bengal Foundation.
