The English name is Psyllium. It is also spelled as Yusuf Guler Vhushi (psyllium husks). Other names are Ashwakarna, Spogel, Sand Plantain, Flea Seed and more. The Botanical or scientific name is Plantago Psyllium, Plantago Ovata, Plantago Ispaghula, and Plantago Ovata Husk.
Isabgol is a natural vegetable product. It is in highly purified form is nature’s highest soluble fiber obtained from seeds. It does not interfere with the absorption of vitamin and minerals. Ysabgul absorbs water and swells up to give increased bulk in the intestine.
