IUBAT is the short name of International University of Business Agriculture Technology. It is a private University. it is at Uttara in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

About IUBAT

The establishment of the university was initiated in the year 1989 as the first private university in Bangladesh. The university was established in the year 1991. It started its degree program in the year 1992 in agreement with University of Bangkok, Thailand. The university has got approval from UGC and Ministry of Education, Bangladesh according to private university act 1992 which was later revised in the year 2010. The University aims to transform the socio-economic condition of Bangladesh through integrated education of agriculture, business, and technology. So far, the university has been successful in its endeavor. At present, the students of this university are contributing significantly in various sectors of Bangladesh.

Subjects and Departments

The university has seven faculties- College of Business Administration, College of Engineering and Technology, College of Arts and Sciences, Agricultural Science, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and College of Nursing. The university provides BSc, BSS, Honors, Masters, MBA, BBA, and MBA- Evening for the students. The major subjects in the School of Business include- Finance, Accounting, Management, and Marketing. It has a large number of qualified and skilled teachers who are very much committed to providing superior quality education to the students to that they can prepare for the job market and the development of the country.

Facilities Available for the Students

The university provides 18 scholarships of various amounts for the students. The scholarships are available for the meritorious and underprivileged students. The university has a tremendous library with thousands of books in different subjects, periodicals, journals and research papers. It has various clubs such as English club, debating club, and scout. By participating in these clubs, the students can increase their extracurricular activities. Besides these, there are common room facilities for both male and female students. The canteen of the University provides quality foods for the students. There are multimedia classrooms with air-conditioning for the students.

Application Procedure and Eligibility

• The candidates who want to get admission in this university must have minimum GPA 2.00 in both HSC and SSC examinations. The candidates must have a second division in both the exams.

• The applicant of O-level must have completed three subjects with two subjects in A-level with minimum C grade.

• The candidates having point 410 out of 800 can apply for admission in the University.

• The students can apply online. There is an online application form in the official website of the university or collect the admission form directly from the university office.
