Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute was established in the year 1985 with the objective to provide technical education the females exclusively.
The Institute is a pioneer in the female professional education sector in the country. It has got the reputation as an excellent educational institution in Bangladesh. For contribution in improving the women education, the institute has got several awards over the years. The Institute believes that is can play a significant role in women empowerment and development in Bangladesh. It operates under the Board of Technical
Education of Bangladesh.
Departments and Subjects
There are five departments in Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute. The departments have highly qualified teachers in respective subjects. The teachers and instructors are highly skilled and experienced to equip the students with the necessary knowledge to cope up with the challenges in real life. The departments include architecture technology, electro-medical technology, electronic technology, instrumentation and process, computer technology and control technology.
Facilities Available for the Students
There is hostel facility available for the accommodation of the students. It has a big library with all kinds of important technical books for the students. The labs are equipped with modern machinery so that the knowledge of the students does not remain limited to the books only. There is also computer and internet facility for the students.
Admission Procedure and Eligibility
To be able to get admitted the students must pass SSC or equivalent examination minimum qualifying GPA 3.00 along with GPA no less than 3.00 in general mathematics or higher mathematics.
The students must pay TK 200 though Teletalk before the application. The students have to apply through the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education.
The students must bring the original registration card of SSC or equivalent examination in the examination hall.
