Jessore Diploma Polytechnic College Bangladesh

The abbreviated name of the institute is JPI. It is the oldest polytechnic institute in the region. The institute has been providing engineering and diploma degree in Bangladesh with reputation for 45 years. For years the institute has shown its brilliance in providing training and education to the students. It operates under the ministry of education of Bangladesh government. The academic program is run under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board which is situated in Agargaon. During establishment in the year 1965 the name of the institute was Jessore Technical Institute. The name was changed into JPI in the year 1967 expanding its activities in various fields of engineering.

Departments and Subjects

The institute has been providing diploma education in various subjects. The subjects include civil, computer, electronics, electrical, power, mechanical, power, and telecommunication. The departments are run by highly qualified teachers who are experienced in the field. The teaching is not limited to book. The students are given practical knowledge through lab works.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility of  Polytechnic College

The admission takes place as per regulations of Directorate of Technical Education. It takes a nationwide admission test for the students who want to get admitted in the polytechnic institutes.
According to rule the aspirants must have passed SSC or equivalent examination with qualifying GPA 3.00. The student must not have GPA below 3.00 in general or higher mathematics.
