Patuakhali Diploma Polytechnic Institute College Bangladesh

Patuakhali Polytechnic Institute is one of the reputed polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. The nick name of the institute is PPI. It was established in the year 1989. It is one of the oldest polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh. The institute provides diploma engineering degree to the students. The institute plays a very important role in the development of the technical education sector of the sector. It is approved by the government of Bangladesh and operates under the regulation of the Board of Technical Education Bangladesh.

Departments and Subjects

At present there are 5 departments in the institute. The departments of Patuakhali Polytechnic Institute include computer, civil, electronics, RC and electrical department. The teaching is provided by highly qualified and experienced teachers in the field. The teachers are very co-operative. The students are given both theoretical and practical knowledge of the subjects.

Facilities Available for the Students

There are a workshop and a computer building in the institute along with the main building which accommodates office, library, laboratory, and a beautiful, wide auditorium with sitting arrangement for 200 people. The library of the institute is very rich and contains huge collection or technology related books and journals. There is also hostel facility for both the male and female students.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

The admission takes place according to the rules and regulations of the Technical Education Board. The directorate of the technical education board conducts an admission test for the aspiring candidates. The students are admitted in the institute according to their merit position in the admission test. The students have to apply online to attend to admission test. The students must have GPA 3.50 in SSC or other equivalent examinations along with GPA no less than 3.00 in Mathematics.
