The college was established in the year 1965 with a view to providing quality education to the students and build up an educated nation. The institution has a spacious non-political campus. The college has about 5000 students enrolled in various disciplines.

It has a pool of highly qualified teachers and instructors. The number of teachers in the college is 82 who are committed to providing the best education to the students. There are also guest teachers to provide the students with up to date knowledge. The college has 60 guest teachers for various subjects. For running academic activities, the college has 47 officers and stuff.

The library remains closed on Friday. There is a prayer room for both students and teachers. There is common room facility for both male and female students of the college.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

For admission in HSC level, the college publishes a circular in the prominent newspapers requesting the candidates to collect admission form from the college admission office. Require GPA: Science Group- 3.5 Humanities- 2.5 Commerce- 3 The graduation level students are admitted according to rules and regulations of the National University of Bangladesh as the college is affiliated with National University. The students have to collect a form from NU website after the publication of the circular.
