Bogra District Information

Bogura (বগুড়া)  is a  District of Rajshahi Division in Bangladesh. It is the nerve center of Northern Bangladesh. Bogra is a bridge between the Rajshahi Division and Rangpur Division.  Bogra was a part of the old Pundravardhana territory. It was the capital of Pundravardhana. The notable; personality of Bagura is; Prafulla Chaki (1888–1908) and former prime minister of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Bogra. Upazilas Bogra has 12 Subdistricts. They are: Adamdighi, Bogra Sadar, Sherpur, Dhunat, Dhupchanchia, Gabtali, Kahaloo, Nandigram, Shajahanpur, Sariakandi, Shibganj, and Sonatala Upazila.
